So confused about what/how to feed...

Mine have TOTW, Iams Kitten and the Purina Beyond available at all times for kibble. Some of mine do not prefer the TOTW early on, but seem to switch themselves...given time. I also feed chicken legs daily and they are also given canned food every day.I do not agree that dry food should be the main diet. We also give chicken hearts and gizzards weekly..throw a few shrimp in and mine are in heaven;>) It basically depends on your cat. Some do not like what we decide is the best for them and that is a known fact. If they refuse to eat it...it is not good for them;>) LOL Common sense is the way to go...let the cat decide which foods are right for them. They may change their minds from time to time and this is a good thing. Just listen to the cat and they will help you decide the best diet for them.(NOT TALKING ABOUT TREATS;>) LOL

21 reviews considering the size of the retailer is really nothing response wise, such an ultra small segment. Check out Amazon for example, where you would expect a online pet food store to gather as many reviews as something on there. Amazon probably has more reviews. ;) I am pro-Weruva, I typically order 15 cases of 5.5oz at a time, so I've had offline conversation with the owners and heartily recommend it to people. If I bought it online, I would definitely sing their praises with 5 stars.

I found that only boiled chicken, BBQ'ed meat, and Weruva would produce firm stools every time for (now) all three fur kids. It's such a blessing to not have to deal with puke or runny stool.

It doesn't need to be mixed, just start out with a third or less at her next feeding. See if she likes it and no digestive issues, bump it to half after a day and run from there.

Thanks John! That's pretty much exactly what I did. She LOVED it and so did my Snowshoe. He actually was snorting while he was eating it lol My orange tabby didn't care for it though. We shall see how her poop is "soon". Thanks again!

Ok, I bought some Taste of the Wild. :) Can I just give her some now? Do I have to mix it with kibble?
Three of my four DSHs eat Taste of the Wild canned mixed with raw. Love it, love it, love it... But often they just lick the gravy off the canned meat and eat the raw meat. They like both kinds of Taste of the Wild. I'd recommend it.

So, yesterday she ate her dry kibble and the canned Taste of the Wild really well!!! But today, she hasn't eaten much at all. :-/ I have offered her both and she just licked up the gravy from the canned and ate a little bit of the meat and then "snubbed" the dry. I am trying not to worry...but should I??

Experimentation is really the key. Do you eat only the things you don't like when you aren't on a diet?

Accept this as part of your training, if you have a picky feline who refuses, shuns, accepts then you put a mark in the win column. But you should keep the quest up to find the thing they cant get enough of and it can take months. It's easy to spend $10 or $20 on a type of wet and give the unopened away to another cat lover if the ingredients are sound.

Tojo has aged me years in the last 4 months with worry over him and his poor eating habits. As a kitten he couldn't get enough of his raw but at about a year old he suddenly refused it and still does. He doesn't seem to like anything particularly well and if he does
, never for more than a week. I've tried every food on the market, cooked chicken, misc other foods and had him checked several times at the vet. Yesterday he ate about 2-3oz of canned food but today only 1 tablespoon. His litter habits -although VERY stinky ;) are normal and so is his temperament. I try to remain calm and continue to experiment but worry that he is 16 months old and weighed 9.3 lbs at vet on Friday. He is not super skinny but I would be happy if he weighed the 10.5 lbs he did when he was 12 months. So needless to say, sweetmelly I understand your concerns.
