Socializing F2 kittens with their humans

I got 2 litter mates at the same time and i know what your going thru. i didnt separate them but the breeder suggested that i do to help the bonding. one was shyer then the other but as they grew older the shy one turned out to be the outgoing one and the other one ended up being more shy. idk why but they just changed as they grew up.
Samber, I'm so happy to hear they came around eventually. I saw some more progress this morning, and I can't wait to see how they change from here.

Relax, they'll be fine in time!:) Savannahs will never cease to amaze you! I'm telling you, there will come a time when the head butting gets obnoxious. Same thing with the purring. Usually when you are trying to sleep. You will know they have accepted you when they are running through the house helter skelter knocking stuff off counters, mantles, tables, couches, and anything else in their way!

And then the wheels fell off . . .

Tonight, I found a small metal trash can that one of our four month old kittens had sprayed (it just had the remnants from their earlier victim -- a roll of toilet paper). I had no idea that a male kitten would spray that young. This trash can is three feet away from their litter box (kept VERY clean) in a bathroom. Any thoughts? Their vet check-up and rabies shot is Friday night, so I will be sure to ask him, too.

Also, if they do something such as knock over a house plant and scatter dirt, what is the best way to punish them? This is a plant they've been attacking since we brought them home three weeks ago, and we've been using spray bottles with a little vinegar and a firm "no."

Thanks in advance!

It is unusual for a male cat to be mature enough at four months of age to spray, but not unheard of. I suspect it is just his natural behavior if it is indeed spraying. If he is urinating appropriately then he might have a UTI so good that he is going to the vet soon.

As for the plant - time for it to go.
