Well my mom raises her voice and yells at her. My mom calls her cat Elsie (a non savannah) ragitha because shes always hissing.

I got my babies from Simply Savannah Anita was amazing. But I am not going to run to her. I will hopefully be moving out and ill be taking them with me.

Well, frankly put- if your family is going to keep any of those girls unfixed- get used to piss and crap around the house. If it isn't from your girls- it will be from the local toms. Which can also trigger any NEUTERED cat in your household to start spraying in inappropriate spots. It's pretty much a nasty cycle and it is very hard to stop.

When I worked at as a tec, we had a woman come in who was having her mother stay with her. The cat consistently urinated RIGHT outside her door. It turned out that the mother would kick the cat once in a while. It it not uncommon for cats to "mark" someone they don't really like. I can't remember what the advice was but we felt sorry for all the parties involved. Not the mom tho.'

I have 2 F2 baby girls. My mom is only agreeing to let me spay my Zara. Shes hell bent on breeding Lily and I think she's crazy.
Yes my vet refused to use the gas on her because they dont normally use gas on cats.
This doesn't make sense - ketamine is only an induction agent, I have never of spaying a cat without using gas.

Did your mother buy her cat with breeding rights?

I think it is ridicules also. She claims to have read that when they have a litter they calm down more. It makes them a better pet and such. Zara is mine and I have control over what happens to her and i want her fixed i have no intentions of breeding her. I am worried that when I get her fixed it will alter her personality. I got a mutt kitten fixed and she went from this sweet loving kitten to this angry ragitha in a flash.
Your mother is misinformed. It is much more common that a female will become more aggressive and territorial once she has had a litter, even after the kittens are grown and gone.

The reason for getting one fixed and not the other is Zara is high strung. She has been peeing and pooing all over the house. I think its because she dosen't like my parents or sister. She has NEVER peed or pooed on any of my things. Only there's. So my mom thinks that by getting her spayed it will help with that.

I am going to find a different vet that uses Isofluane.

Yes they are indoor/outdoor, they love to play outside and I sit out there and watch them.
Where do you live?

Does your mom having breeding right to the cat? has she ever breed cats before? Is the breeder or another breeder mentoring her? I'm just a little concerned that she is not sure of what she's doing:(

Ketamine is a dissociative anaesthetic with some excellent properties, but needs to be combined with a sedative like xylazine or medetomidine to avoid problems as the effct wears off. I've used it in cats and lynxes, and is excellent for short or acute procedures.

I'd not worry about using it, and remember that using gas (isofluorane or other) is not risk-free. An alternative in males is general sedation with medetomidine and using a local, in females sedation and epidural.
