Super happy. He was playing with his wand like we've been doing.. He was VERY active. Pouncing. Chasing. So I creeped it out a bit. He came out! As soon as he saw his food he ate. I kept talking to him and he kept eating instead of hiding from sound. ^-^
I was expecting to say something and him run back in. So this made me smile quite a bit! :D

Woo Hoo. That is great news. He will be in your lap in no time. :) Food is a great motivator. But so is play. When he lets you, so will ear scritches.

I'm trying to resize some picutres to upload. <3 He's getting braver already. He just came back out to eat some and then walked over to his carrier(other side of the room). He laid in there for about 15 seconds and then went back underneath the bed. x'D

Yay! I figured it wouldn't take too long, although I'm sure it feels like an eternity to you! I suspect in a couple of days he will be feeling right at home...

He's wanting to play more with the wand. I have been sitting on the floor just swinging it some and I'll look where he's hiding and he'll be intently watching.

I know you probably know this, but sometimes eye contact can be threatening to cats. If you look into his eyes, slow bilink and drop you gaze. That is a non threatening gesture.

Good advice Cary. Probably leaving him alone in the room for a few hours so that he has time to come out and explore without worrying about the strange human may also help him get more comfortable with his surroundings.

I've been sitting at my computer desk gaming. For the last hour he's been running around the room. ^-^
