I would try to get him off the Royal Canin, I really think it might be the corn or other fillers that is causing the diarrhea. I still have another F2 here with runny stools so I've just switched to Earthborn to see if that will help. However, I have found that Iams Hairball has the highest fiber and that has worked well for me on a couple of cats who have had sensitive stomachs and are prone to diarrhea.

As for the inappropriate elimination - I'm not sure where that is coming from, he was always quite faithful with the litterbox here, and they were shared by several other kitties. You might want to try adding some Cat Attract to the litter to see if that fixes things. What kind of litter and litterbox are you using? I know we talked about this, but we were using wood pellets here, and he seemed to favor an open (uncovered) litterbox.

Ok, I haven't been able to get on the past few days(so much going on!).

We are now feeding Blue Freedom- Grain Free. No Grains, Cluten or Artificial Preservatives. He has solid stools now! :D And how adores this stuff.
We had been using some cheap kitty litter until the next check. He used it the first couple of days and then hated it. Thursday we bought some Pine Pellets and he's only gone outside it once, and that was that same night. Since then, he has pooped in it multiple times. :D ^-^

On another progress.. He loves sleeping on my laptop's keyboard. When I'm using it. He lets me pick him up to move him... Then goes right back. 2 nights ago I decided to try setting him in my lap(he's still very timid). He fell asleep for about 5 minutes! Then woke up and realized he was touching the human and jumped back to my desk to watch me closely from behind the laptop.
Happened again last night so I held and pet him. He was there for a good 30 minutes. He didn't back his head way from me at all. He actually left it right where the arm bends. <3

He also now has a few balls with bells in them- his favorite being the felt ball. I've also caught him using the sisal rope scratching post I made(just wrapped a desk leg in it!). He uses it a lot now and if he feels like playing, he loves when he's on one side and the feathers on the other. He jumps and reaches around to grab it. Or when it's between the leg and wall. x3 It's super cute to watch!

That is very good news Stormi. I was a bit concerned when I read of his inappropriate pooping. And the runny poops. I am glad you have found a good food and a good litter for him. Knew you would...you are a good Mom.

I guess I am lucky...Regie will eat anything and go in any litter. Maybe because he watches Kiki and he just adores her. He doesn't want his kitten food as much any more now that he is out and eating Kilifi's food. LOL. But he does like the Stella and Chewey's CHICK CHICK CHICKEN freeze dried raw. I got them some for specail occasion meals. Too 'spensive for every day.

I knew Teukie would begin to become comfy with your touch and closeness soon. Looks like you are on the road to a having a lover boy. That makes me smile, and happy for you. <3

You know, change is hard on a kitten. They are away from everything that was familiar and it is a scary new world. In reference to him pooping on the bed, makes me just think that when kittens do this, as they often do at first, even though they did not do it at the breeders home, I think it is because they are scared at first, not eating on schedule like they were at their previous home, they are holding it because of hiding under the bed, or whereever, and then all of a sudden it just has to come out. And they happen to be on your bed or another inappropriate place. Like a little kid, they cannot hold it and I believe sometimes they do not even realize they had to go so bad. Funny little creatures our kittens are. I think once he is more familiar and confident, that will completely stop and he gets himself on a better schedule. I am happy to hear he is doing better and has found such a loving home with you and you are so happy. He is a lovely fellow! Enjoy!

Awww, I knew he was going to be a little sweetie once he relaxed a little and allowed himself to be loved! Sorry he is so picky about the litter, but if you have a feed and tack store around you should be able to find wood pellets being sold as horse stall bedding - I purchase a 40lb bag for $7 here. Glad you have found a good food alternative too and that his poops are now solid - that must be a relief!

Oops, I also wanted to add, that if you don't have a feed and tack store in your town look at a hardware store for wood burning pellets for wood stoves, just make sure they're not infused with an incendiary agent (some are to get them to burn easier).
