Storming, I am glad to hear he is settling in well and feeling better.

We made a mistake when Jarvis was a kitten that took months to rectify. I picked him up, carried him, and forced him to interact with me when he was afraid. It took months and months to undue the damage I did by being pushy. Look for the savannah kitten behavior thread. We are in a good place now where he wants to snuggle with me and be touched by me almost every day now, and even asks for belly rubs, but it was a long uphill battle to win his trust. If I had it to do over again I would never have forced him, but I didn't realize at the time that I was doing all the wrong things, and I would hate for anything similar to happen with you and Teukie.

I agree with Nikki completely - forcing oneself on a kitten can easily backfire. Best to let the kitty adjust and bond on his own terms... which I know Stormi knows...

Really glad to hear that his pooping booboos are resolving!

I would have to agree with Nikki...forcing them to be something they aren't can cause a lot more damage. Maybe try using more positive reinforcement like treats, and reassuring him that you love him no matter what

And nope. I am not going to force him with anything. But he doesn't like treats.. Although he adores cream of chicken soup! He likes to steal it while I game!

Extremely hard. Especially when the human is so far away. But I get off at 7, so I should have time to update with pictures tonight.
I even have one of him at the vet wearing his crocodile skin patterned walking jacket!

I LOVE THEM Stormi. He is a handsome guy. I cannot get Regie to wear a walking jacket. I need to work with him.

xD Teuks just falls over and calms down completely with it on. He let the vet poke and prod, clip nails, etc. with no fuss.
