Awww...what a cute, sweet and beautiful baby! No experience to share, but I think with your care and research he will do just fine

I had a case, and he recovered very fast. I started day 1 to massage et stretch the legs many times a day. At the third day, the legs where already not bending the wrong way. I will try to find my pictures. From a big litter also.
If you need any info or have any questions, just ask.How old is your baby ?
Also, when he was sleeping or at the milk bar, I was folding his legs the good way. The toes takes a bit more time, but they can recover just fine.

First picture is day one. Second day 2. Third picture not sure, but in the first week (eyes stil closed). You can see his worst leg side with his toes curving a lot. He recovered very fast with a lot of warmth and stretch.
Was only a ligament problem, sometimes called lotus position or twisted leg syndrom. Very impressive, my vet didn't know what to do. i looked on the internet for the way to help this baby, and it is more easy than it looks at first.


Just wants to add I was very gentle, not forcing anything. The baby was very good and patient boy
When I was folding his leg the good way when sleeping, it was after the ligaments where stretched, but he tend to keep his back legs straight the first 2 weeks.

Your little guys legs look just like Classy Coons baby Maine Coon - Trooper - she gave to my son because they both had to do so much Physical Therapy... he is the kitten Mojo "adopted" & totally protected from Tigger & Eddies antics. Trooper is up & running & jumping! He's actually a month younger & just as big as Eddie. You can find her on fb... another great breeder!

That's the baby I was thinking of! I knew you had posted about him worried that he wouldn't be normal.

He's just 3 days old now, Glamouresque-- the leg just seems so off that I'm not sure if it will recover without a splint. I'm remaining hopeful that as it stretches and works now outside of the womb that it will naturally fix itself, but I'm not 110% sure.

Still Trish, a splint is better than surgery or worse Permanent damage.

Are you stretching it Trish? I would do some passive stretching exercises several times a day, or as least as often as you can. If the leg seems stiff you can try warm compresses to loosen it up.
