Things I've Learned From Owning a Savannah(s)

I must be lucky. I work graveyard and get home between 5:30-9:30 depending if I work overtime or not. When I get home that's when I feed simba his breakfast. Now on the weekends I don't sleep very well and sometimes stay up to 3:00-4:00 am and go to bed and sleep until 12:00-1:00 and simba waits patiently until I get up for breakfast. Doesn't bother me until I get up. I can even wake up and stay in bed for a couple of hours watching a movie on my iPad and not a peep from him until I get up. Now if I'm in the kitchen all bets are off. He will scream anytime I'm in the kitchen to be fed.

Mark, Taj is like that as well...he NEVER bothers me...but Zuri and her kittens? Now that is a different story! You just don't have a hormonal female Savannah cat living with you ;)

Entering your house, no matter if you just went out to check the mail or take out the garbage....means you left to buy something for them, and they HAVE to see it NOW! Heaven forbid if you enter carrying a bag from the grocery store....it can be filled with detergent, dishsoap and deodorant, but they will tear the bag apart before you can set it down looking for something to eat....
and, most of the time, we HAVE bought something for those little entitlement expecters.

Speaking of opening a door, Savannah owners always stick their foot out in front of them with the thought that they can block the door. Hah! Has that ever worked for anyone?

haha

i thought it was just me :)

No nonchalant flipping of the wand, anyway. I can talk on the phone or watch TV and absent-mindedly flip the toy with my OSH. But, when it comes to the Savannahs, I really must pay attention or the toy is "no more".
