There are some good tips noted in another post here as to how to spot a scam. Ill add that I've noticed all the legitimate cattery's tend to ask about you and go into whats more of an adoption process. Dealing with Morgan felt more like buying a ipod off craigslist. There was no concern of the cats welfare, no talk of his personality, or who his mother was. He didn't even mention the cat by name, Just "the boy". So my gut tells me there is no cat.

Maybe i should properly introduce myself.... I'm off to the intro page as I'm feeling a bit chatty today.

That phone number is also associated to a "David Gentry" that sells english bulldogs, and the email is seperately linked to english bullldog and german shepherd puppy sales on all sorts of sites. The puppy ads are from texas, colorado, etc. Seems a bit suspicious. Also 949 is a California area code(south California at that), and while he could be from there, the ad is from NC and he says hes in oregon.
Precisely.

I think I added my cattery to that damn site a long time ago, but I've been unable to log on to delete it from there. LOL.

As far as exposing them-- posting here is a good way to let people know to stay away ;)

Savannah cats are expensive and in high demand and some people want one on a budget and when they see a cute SV kitten they react and think this kitten won't last long at this price and they send money and get ripped, I see Savannah cat adds all the time in the paper but at your own risk. if people that want a Savannah on a budget they should bide their time and save up their money and find a established breeder with a history then they would get a healthy kitten with a history and support if they need it. If everyone did this SV scams would not be so common. Everyone likes a good deal but hold the money back until you are sure of the product. IMO
