They know something is wrong, both Savannah's have hung close to me all day , after surgery I spent the rest of the morning with Dr. morphine and had a oxycodone, lunch, snack and dinner and they are not getting attention .
i went through the same thing 5 wks. ago. The cats slapped & hissed at my cast and generally gave me stink-eye whenever I lumbered around them. I got not one whisker twitch of pity for an entire week until they were sure that the cast wasn't an intruder.

They are concerned children and rightly so... They know when we feel bad and want to help take care of us.
