Toilet Training

Hello Everyone, I started to attempt to toilet train my 5 month old F4 male Savannah this week. So far it's been a little discouraging as he will not stop playing in the toilet water when I leave the lid up. Has anyone on the forum successfully toilet trained their Savannah? I know they all love water so I'm wondering if he'll ever stop playing in the water. I really appreciate any feedback on this topic.

Thank you, Melinda

Usually you start by putting a litter box on/in the toilet seat and progress to the open bowl. I believe there are kits you can purchase to to this. John Campbell toilet trained Elsa so I know it can be done...

Too funny! I don't think it would work with mine. He's obsessed with water and plays in the toilet any chance he gets (so gross).

I tried with my ragdoll a few years back. He started to pick up on it, but I could never remove the training seat I purchased and found there was way too much clumping falling in the toilet.

I wish you the best of luck!

Just to give everyone an update on the topic. I gave up on the toilet training. Zee Zee just loves to play in water too much! He was so happy to get his regular litter box back
