I was thinking about balsa wood stick. I do like the leather attachment on Lori's site. It looks perfect. I will have to show it to my manager and see what he says.

He will pull the feathers out, the string snaps and when he pulls the wand in mid jump it breaks in-half.. Yes he is a big solid boy. My BigE Boy

As far as specs, our teaser line is 65 pounds tensile strength rated. I doubt the line will break :) We haven't had anyone notify us that a wand has broken, not to say that wouldn't with enough pull, but so far they seem to be holding up to the test. They are solid acrylic that we order direct from a US manufacturer. Hope that helps...

Sounds great. I will so show my manager this and your site. He loves his wands. :)

If that doesn't work there are also dog wand toys...http://www.veeenterprises.com/E.htm...they
are pretty indestructible :)

www.metpet.com make some out of fishing line that if it snaps they give instructions on how to retie and repair it. And they also offer a wire wand so no string to snap...and replaceable feathers as really there's nothing to be done with those that like feather toys but to buy replacements for it. But try Lori's wand toys first as they are very well-made and may be exactly what you are looking for!
