I prefer raw/canned combo for my kittens since their new homes may not want to feed raw and I don't want my kittens to have any issues if the kitten buyers want to feed canned.
I like that approach. In fact, I think it's smart to get cats adjusted to 3 different types/brands of foods. There's been so much crap happening in the pet food industry over the past 5 yrs. what with poisoning and contamination by all sorts of weird things. If a cat is habituated to a variety of foods at least there will still be choices if one of the foods becomes problematic for any reason. Taji is addicted to quail. He'll eat chicks but no rodents and won't eat chicken or beef anymore. I've started sprinkling crushed Stella & Chewy's on his quail to get different proteins in him. I've even tried to get him to eat canned occasionally because I'm concerned about a balanced diet.

Actually my kittens get different canned foods, so they are not only used to one kind with their raw...and then they get dry food as well...they love Weruva and Proplan...I need to make sure they are getting proper nutrition...

Zuri was addicted to quail as well and I had to break her of it while she was pregnant....I have not given her any and won't until the kittens leave...so she now eats ground quail though from Blue ridge beef and I mix canned in it for her...and she now eats canned food also...

Is diarrhea a issue all kittens and cats get when they come home and adjust to their new environment ? Seams I have read a lot lately about this. I have 3 weeks before getting my little guy. Was hoping not to have to deal with diarrhea and them using other places instead of litter box.

No diarrhea here. We even tested positive for Coccidia and did antibiotics for a few weeks. Solid as a rock;)
