Using gabapentin (sedative) for easier vet visits?

They found it at his pre-op visit when he was getting neutered when he was 7 months old. He had an echocardiogram 2 day later right before his surgery and they said it was benign and should grow out of it by 18 months. He still had it this summer at 16 months when he went for his last regular visit. I’m hoping they were correct and it will go away and won’t have to worry about it anymore.
