Just wanted to post an update about Master's condition: he is doing better. We ended up taking him to LA to do 2 more MRI's, spinal tap and 2-page list of other tests. I'm just going to re-post something we wrote on their page earlier this week: "Got test results back for master today. He has a fungal infection of the brain (encephalitis) called Cryptococcosis. Luckily we started treating him yesterday before the results came back; however, he will be on meds for the next 6-12 months or possibly the rest of his life. His outlook is pretty good now we know what were dealing with and treating it. Thanks for all of the kind wishes from everyone!"

He is doing much better and Margo is warming up to him as well. Finally, a little break :) Thank you everyone for support and concerns.

It is wonderful to know that you have finally gotten to the bottom of his problem, but I know you still have a difficult road ahead with him having to be on antibiotics for so long. It's great that you are already seeing improvement though, I hope that will continue with each passing day.

Wow! Did they say how this type of infection occurs? Glad you finally know what you are dealing with and hope Master continues to improve....
