I hope the Feliway product helps both of your situations! Please keep us posted as this would seem a really great product to know about if it helps at all!

Just wondering if you have let your vet know that Vito still isn't back to himself. I wonder if the anti inflammatory meds might be making him feel sick.

Yes Paige, spoke to vet yesterday morning and we've stopped the anti inflammatory (loxicom) for now to see if it helps as it does have a tendency to upset tummies, stopped it yesterday and thankfully the vomiting stopped within hours.

When scrubbing and washing, you are using an enzyme based cleaner versus bleach etc, right? Just thought I'd check!

Yes, got anti icky and simple solution enzyme cleaner, Great for getting the odour and staining out, need to remove every trace of urine to prevent repeat marking. Vitos appetite is better today and I'm making sure I keep him well hydrated, he really is feeling sorry for himself poor boy. I'm hoping the cystease starts to ease things for him soon.

Yay!!!!! First dry night in a week, Vito is looking brighter today, appetite coming back and my boy looking and feeling more like himself, continuing with the cystease , it's very easy to give, the capsule contains powder that is so finely ground it's almost like corn flour in consistency so very easy to mix into his food without making it grainy.

Vito had totally out of character started having huge pees outside the litter box at the weekend and was off his food and clingy, he was definitely trying to alert us that something was up with him. Took him straight to our vet hospital on Monday with urine sample and for a good examination. I suspected a UTI of some kind, however and luckily the urine test was clear of infection , crystals or anything sinister, (full uralysis done) and the vet said he has idiopathic cystitis, he's currently being treated with anti inflammatory drug (Loxicom) since Monday and seems to be a little brighter. Trying to get him to take more fluids and trying to keep up with his cuddle demands. Thinking it might be an idea to give him some bladder support and wondered if anyone could recommend the best one as there are so many capsules, pastes and liquids out there. Hoping the big guy is over the worst of it, fingers crossed, though he still looks miserable . Any advice much appreciated.
aww vito ,hopefully on the mend soon, best wishes akira x

Thank you Akira, Vito seems to getting better by the day, fingers crossed still, no peeing so that's 4 dry nights, appetite coming back slowly and he seems happy enough in himself. Getting lots of cuddles and boy is he milking it :)

Well that's a week with Vito being on the cystease capsules and what a difference, no more peeing on the furniture, carpets or anywhere else. Granted he was on loxicom for a week or so but I definitely think the cystease has been a huge benefit to him, I'm going to continue with his one capsule a day for the foreseeable just to give him the extra bladder support. So I'd definitely recommend this for anyone to try who's sav may have spraying issues or a bout of cystitis.
Vito is definitely a happy boy.

Two weeks of being on the cystease capsules for bladder support and Vito is doing grand, back to using his litter box with no issues and seems more relaxed.
