Ways Savannahs are different than regular cats?

Agreed, it made me think of a pitbull and how oddly shaped their skulls and jaws look compared to other similar sized breeds.

One thing I have noticed that is different and I have not heard it talked about, before is there bite force compared to regular cats. I give Remi freeze dried Turkey necks to help keep her teeth clean and she just Devours them. I have given them to other people for their cats, and they all tell me that their cats can’t chew them. So I did a little research on this, and found out that regular cat have a bite force around 50. A serval has a bite force of 150. So that leads me to believe a Savannah does have a more powerful bite force. Has any one else noticed anything like this?

One of my boys, Dooley, bites pretty hard and the other boy, Dino doesn't. Both F1s, I'm estimating, given the presented numbers, that Dooley has a bite force of about 125 and Dino a bite force of 75 or less. Unfortunately, the one that bites my toes each morning while I prepare his breakfast. There isn't anything funny or cute about when Dooley bites to get your attention, and unfortunately, his brother and I are the only targets with no resolution in sight.

I had an HP F1 for almost one year and I thank God that He Made me have him in my life. I was totally in love with him and He was terrible with anyone except with me and another cat that I have. He was a cat only with cats and He was very wild and had a very difficult life. But I loved playing with him I loved when he put his favourite toy in the water and we called it "showerdog" because He really showered it! He could open every door and always stayed in the highest place He could find watching everything from there. He devoured chichen legs in about 5 minutes but He never never hurt anybody with his teeth He never bited me strong and we passed through a lot of things together even of He lived for only one year and 4 months. I feel so lucky that I had him in my life and I miss him everyday He was so special to me even of He was very difficult. He did whatever He wanted to do and He was so proud and fierce until the end I really admired him He was an Alpha cat a real Alpha cat and I respected him always. But He was really different from all the other cats I had and will remain unique in my heart My little Alpha!

Today at the vet for my new child Xander I asked about bits force.
She felt it had to do with the shape and agreeded that I was lucky
because Bella could of taken a finger off. The lesson learned
don't reach for things a cat is trying to eat or get a finger in the mouth
when the cat is going to bite down.

Well I have more reading to do my other book showed up today.

They can bite hard. I'm not sure how to measure the force, but Loki used to chew a tennis ball up within a few days. He's not allowed them anymore after the incident this last Christmas.

He bites my arm, but just gently. He never hurts me as he is getting sweeter as he ages. How do you measure the true force?

Some type of tool they give that has a strain guage built into it of has a known crush force and they use that to come up with the force.
