I'm thinking he looks great but I'm sure there are things that could be hidden from a photo. I know with Makiya I wanted to send her back the first month because of the peeing problem we had but nope she never responded to any calls, voicemails, texts or emails. Don't get me wrong, I am so glad we didn't do it because she's our baby but the contract states they will assist with any issues you will have and it didn't happen.

So the pattern seems to be that they're very responsive until they get your money?

Always! All three cats the same thing. Can you tell I'm bothered by it today? Lol! I have sent her 4 emails in two weeks and 5 text messages. Only thing she responded was the flight times.

But ... I know I am just ranting because I'm getting good quality kitties. Guess I just needed to vent to people who know how important these cats are. Lol. I wouldn't trade where I got them for the world. But grrrrrr

She needs to answer your questions. Did she answer before you paid? I'm sure they have great kittens, but this is the type of thing that drives me and others on here crazy!

She answers questions about a new purchase before you pay, yes. After not generally. So I'm not out of line to expect a relationship? And I don't even big her. Just when I need help such as when Makiya was peeing. She never once responded to that and I was frantic for help. And the disconnect happens after the half payment. With our new baby I haven't received responses to the following questions after we paid the deposit: how is his temperament? How do you feel about raw food? Then again, how is he behaving with humans? Etc. no answers other than a flight time.

You can ask a good number of people here how distressed I was when things went pear-shaped upon arrival of my two SVs. I was dealing with a different breeder. Fortunately things worked out pretty well after a fashion and I wouldn't trade my two for anything. They have their claws into me deep.

First, tail kinks are often genetic (if but caused by a door, etc) and a good breeder would not perpetuate kinks by breeding cats with kinked tails or repeatedly producing tails with kinks.

Second, I really wish buyers would not excuse lack of communication skills with their breeders. What happens when it's something serious and you need help?? That is what your breeder should be there for.

You talk about the facility being clean and that's great, but there are many other nice catteries with responsive breeders who will be there for their cats lifetime. I personally feel that is just as important as where the cat is raised.

Ok you guys are making me feel totally justified now! I wasn't sure if I was expecting too much but surely assumed she would answer me. Can you imagine if for some reason I had an accident and couldn't pick him up? I wouldn't even be able to chat with her about it before.
