As kittens have little or no reaction to catnip, it's best to wait until they're 6 months old. Some cats have an aversion to catnip and in some cats it will cause runny noses and watery eyes. Best to hold off on introducing catnip until a later age (6 months) when they can better ascertain if they want to partake and besides they are entertaining enough at that age without it.
