I think they are saying that they cannot be sure they are either. But I believe they have some of one or both in them. Hard to say what is the composition of the breed genes.
It's pretty impossible to guess what breeds are in a moggy, but it's fun to imagine the possibilities. If you think they are Savannah mixes then who's to say otherwise?! From your description I can certainly understand why you would think so. The bottom line is, they have a wonderful home and you have wonderful companions - who could ask for more?
