What should I feed my F5SBT

The digging around is their attempt to bury it. I have heard that fasting them for a day could help as it detoxes their liver. I have never done it, though, and I know that cats really can't go too long without food so be cautious. Otherwise, have you tried mixing?

The burying thing is an instinctive behavior from wild life. When the cat is not going to eat any more, they attempt to hide their location and conceal it from other preditors or cats for later consumption, by burying their kill.

How do I make him eat raw or freeze dried or dehydrated raw?!? Or is it just not going to happen. I thought when we got our ragdoll she may convince him but he has no interest. So now our ragdoll will only eat raw and he won't touch it. I've tried hiding the raw, tried grounding up the freeze dried as a sprinkle on his food, I've tried "kitty sushirt". He does the burrying thing whenever I change anything with his food. He doesn't even touch cat treats or canned food at all.

He may NVER eat raw. He may be a kitty that likes junk food. IF he eats a good kibble he will be ok. As long as he drinks enough water.

I just wanted wants best for him. Guess we don't always get what we want lol
Transitions to new foods sometimes take months. He may be more accepting of raw or canned as he matures. Don't give up. Keep trying every month or so. FYI here's an article about cats sense of taste, the last paragraph is the most interesting and confirms the findings of other research about the effect of some additives in cat food. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/strange-but-true-cats-cannot-taste-sweets/
