Will neutering affect the growth of F1?

I take Akila in tomorrow to see when they will spay her. She is 18 weeks and the vets around here don’t like to spay until 5 or 6 months old ( which I thought was a little late). When do cats go into their first heat?

It depends on the individual cat, but I’ve heard some that went into heat at 3.5-4 months. The youngest mine have gone into heat is 4.5 months.

Records show it was actually 9 months. No adverse behavior, we just knew it was time. I heard mixed opinions and age, and just waited till we felt he was ready.

Welcome Kan! I second what everyone else has said. I neuter my kittens at about 12-14 weeks and although my kittens are SBTs, the males are usually long, lean, tall and about 18-20 pounds.

Percy is gorgeous! I remember pictures of him from birth and add he was growing!

Thank you. I may worry too much, he still looks as small as when I got him in my eyes. Lol

Same here, we just knew it was time. Ours got done at exactly 5 months, I scheduled the appointment because Bear had started walking around making a funky cooing sound, like he wanted a lady friend. They both were showing signs of increased aggression, as well. All gone post-neuter.
