Wow - "Dangerous Bengal Cats"

Articles like this make my blood boil. The person that sold these cats is also to blame for not making sure that the new owners knew just what they were getting. Put them in the basement because of a bite? How awful is that. What did they plan on doing then? Clueless people. Such a shame. Early generation Bengals are much harder to work with than early generation Savannahs. I raised EG Bengals for 15 years before working with the Savannahs and the temperament difference is huge! Some Bengals at the F3 and F4 levels can still be pretty pricey. I have a few friends from my Bengal days that are still breeding and what they have is NICE!!! And they get very decent prices. Bengals have come a loooong looong way.

Well they had them to create the Bengal so where did they all go?!:(
There are definitely still Bengal breeders with ALC's and they are still breeding for F1 kittens. I see them posted from time to time although they usually have a waiting list so you don't see much advertisement for them.

But there aren't many, from what I understand...

I know an older lady in Missouri breeding early gen Bengals as a hobby, she charges about $600 for hers.... $1000 for an F3 savannah.... She has a waiting list!

Alice.....Too bad she don't sell F1's...If 1000 for F3's the F1's would probably be around 2500 or less.....more my price!

Was about to say sounds like my breeder, but since you said she only breeds F3 SV's that probably isn't her. hehe
