Society is better served without a cure and eating one of those sandwiches sober is a pretty good reminder of just how drunk you were to have enjoyed it so much.

I do remember many a time thinking I was going to cure a hangover before it happened on the Southside with a Primanti Brothers sandwich but it never seemed to work.
That sandwich looks like it would kill you rather than cure you.

I toured the Strip and nearly wept when I went inside the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company. We don't have anything remotely resembling that type of store in southern Oregon. I started taking pictures and they called me a "typical tourist" and I had to explain that I grew up in Pgh but now live among those with unsophisticated palates in the wild west. Four Pittsburghers in the store piped up that they visited and liked Oregon, especially Crater Lake and a young man behind the meat counter claimed that living here is his dream. Small world.

I try to stay out of that area as it causes me to break out in hives. All that "Stiller" garb they sell around there just makes me feel uncomfortable. Fortunately it doesn't put me to tears as it did when I was a pre-teen and my grandmother would send me sympathy cards in the mail after the Stillers beat the Browns.

I bought a Stiller t-shirt to sleep in. Haven't followed the team since the glory years (Bradshaw, Harris, Swan, & the Steel Curtain). Immaculate Reception, never ever forget it.

I was at the immaculate reception game (cheering for the Raiders) and no one in the stadium knew what happened. We had to go home to see what went on and they played it over and over again.

Here's the greatest Stiller moment from that era.

o_O You can't get me riled up about this stuff. I was also a Bears fan, a Raiders fan, 49ers & Seahawks. I'm usually rooting for the underdog or for the team with the best looking quarterback:up:

Not trying to get you riled up, just one single play made a name for Turkey Jones and without it nobody would have ever known who he was.

You were rooting for the Raiders when the Immaculate Reception occurred?! Those are fightin' words. Seriously, the Raiders? Are they still a team?

Yes and in a stadium filled with Stiller fans. I would usually always make the Brown Stillers games at 3 Rivers as well. I took a lot of razzing and yinz weren't very nice to a little kid. Actually it was probably tougher on my relatives who were Stillers fans who were always asked why they brought me. In all, I guess my Dad was the smart one, a turncoat Browns fan who just would bow out.

Thanks for the stroll down memory lane Deborah, it was a great part of my childhood. It toughened me up quite a bit, even my grandmothers pokes at me and always lots of fun. Also met Bradshaw and Ham at Kennywood before they had any rings and still have the autographed Stillers banner in the archives. That along with a score card/program from Roberto Clemente's 3,000th hit game and fond memories of my grandfather telling me about his first game as a rookie. Clemente was a gem of a man and his passing was about as tragic as they come.

Oh and I'm not sure you've ever been there, but Church Brew Works is an awesome restaurant and an OK brewery. I'm not a very religious person and the first time I visited I got a little freaked out by the large copper clad holding tanks on the alter shrouded by large glass as if some sort of pope mobile protection. After a bit I just couldn't take it as something just seemed very wrong about having a beautiful church turned into a brewery. I sat on the front steps for the last half hour of our groups dinner sitting on the front steps as I was sure they were all going to be struck by lightning at any second.
