So last night, I put my DSH Rheya in my bedroom and let Z out for a while. As much as he likes coming out, when he does, he wanders around, checks out the cat tree. From reading this forum, I've come to realize he's probably quite overwhelmed. My place is pretty small, but it's a tri-level and open concept, so the space is huge for a kitty. Plus, when he comes out the door, it isn't the apartment he was used to (he lived with my son for several years).
But last night, I was struggling to get a new wand toy out of its blasted packaging and Z got very excited and just took off! He ran and ran, doing laps, pausing to see if I'd gotten the toy out. It was SO good to see him run! When I put him back in his room, he still needed some cuddle time, so he crawled inside my shirt again and we snuggled for a while. After I left, I didn't hear a peep! He was worn out
Did my heart a world of good!
