So is it official? Are you keeping Jimmy?
It isn't official because my dad is a grumpy gus, but he has resigned himself to the inevitable. No more fosters though
Zeddie may act aloof. But it is an act.
She adores Jimmy, in her own way. Zeddie is NOT a touchy feely girl at all. She is a little like me, we both require some space. I get in hers a lot which makes her mad, but I get in it a lot less with Jimmy because he lets me smoosh him all I want. Zeddie's sign of affection is trying to eat his neck. And the fact that she let him give her a mohawk (and then let me laugh and take pictures without being embarrassed). On the rare occasion that she snuggles me, she will let him sneak his way in as well. I think she does get a teensy bit jealous because he is MUCH pushier than her, so I try to spend some one on one time with her doing things Jimmy doesn't like (like going for walks, car rides, to the store, to Ottawa, to the cottage)
Overall, I think she is happy that Jimmy is taking some of the attention off of her. We all play together and I am in the process of thinking up some 'work your mind' games. Zeddie doesn't care about anything that much, but Jimmy is all about being smart.
Also, Zeddie would be devastated if Jimmy left. She really missed Thor when he moved to Ottawa. Actually, shortly after Jimmy was able to be out of his crate she had 'the conversation' with me. I asked her if she wanted to keep Jimmy as her 'brother'. She said she wanted to keep him really bad, but was afraid to get along with fosters because they were just going to leave again, and she didn't want to make friends to have them leave. She recognizes him as a 'savannah', or like her, because I have been wanting another one for about a year now, so she was pretty prepared for a 'savannah brother'. It makes me so happy to see her happy with him. They really love each other (even if he is an annoying boy sometimes)
