Good news! Oni came running into the living room closely followed by Ziggy. They toured behind the couches and Oni jumped on the stereo amp--no growls or yowls, no hissing! And Jax trailed a bit behind.

Of course a bit later Ziggy cornered Oni and there was screaming and threatening swatting.

One step forward...like climbing a sand dune.

Sounds like things aren't quite there bug getting very close... Wish you continued progress with them.

At least closer.

I provoked an incident a few minutes ago by playing with Ziggy with a feather wand and then playing with Oni with the same wand. Ziggy was not happy, and charged up a ladder and confronted her. I had to break things up three times.

Ziggy shares his toys fine with Jax, but obviously isn't ready to share with Oni yet.

I'll have two wands next time...

Hmm.. that is one you will remember.. You may have to invest in a new wand... Hope you did not lose too much distance on their trust.

Yes, I knew better, but now I'll do better.

I don't think it's much of a back step. Oni is really starting to relax around the boys--actively watching them play, hanging out in front of the fireplace instead of somewhere high, sleeping in a cat bed on the floor, playing more and just being silly, and looking much more herself.

We'll see what tomorrow brings.
