A Regular Houdini

Very cute! Too smart for their own good I say!

Our SVs have long since learned how to open all of our doors by pushing just right on the handle and continuously open them if we're in the room so they can be with us.

And they have even locked us out by pushing the deadbolt into place while we're outside. I swear that they were punishing us because we left them.

But what's worse is that now one of our SVs has been inspecting our alarm system and trying to replicate what I do open the door. She'll jump on top of the trash can, reach up and open the top padlock cover with her paw and then starts smacking the keypad...

Houdini? Definitely yes. Our SVs have got some Houdini skills in them... or mine just has cat burglar genes :)

Our D likes to walk on the 2d floor bannister too. It still scares me, every time I see him do it, I move him.

Mickey is the door-opener in our house, and Jarvis is the fridge opener.

Thankfully, none of them have tried to play with the alarm system (yet).

Tojo walks on the banister as well and even fell to the landing as a kitten
I would've thought he'd learned ;)

I am convinced that they are incapable of learning from personal injury. Chongo had a two month long time out in a crate and at least once a week performs an act that can cause him grievous bodily harm.
