Advice on purchasing a Savannah!

I actually adore the lower gens. You don't need to have an F1 or F2 to have the "real" Savannah-feel. Of course those are very bling-bling because of how they look. They are all smart but it doesn't mean they are difficult either. Watch out for open cupboard etc but a heck of a lot easier than a puppy!

Actually Sue Armstrong is the person specializing in F1's and F2's and has a litter of F5 SBT's...Michelle works with her...

Correct. Sue Armstrong has a lengthy and well established reputation in the Savannah Community and does produce excellent quality F1 kittens. I believe she mentors Michelle Mills, who is a relative new comer on the scene.

Sue lived in California and bred here years ago and I believe she may have moved when the laws about owning servals changed. I respect that because other breeders just went underground or registered their servals has Savannahs to avoid trouble.

Hey everyone!
Guess what? We bring our new kitten home tomorrow! Was supposed to be next Fri, but my husband took next week off to do some home projects and the breeder thought it would be fine to let him leave at 11 weeks. She said he seems to be about 2 weeks ahead of his litter mates and is ready to go! Thanks for all your advice and encouragement.

Game on!

Congrats Lesley! Your life will never be the same.

Kelly, I remember when Sue was in the Sacramento area. I lived in Coarsegold at the time and was interested in visiting her cattery.

He's home! Spartacus at 11 weeks. Tuckered out and asleep on the sink.
