You might want to get a baby gate and put it across the doorway. That way, it will stop him long enough for you to grab him before he can get out of the room. Works great for me :)

Yes, baby gates are great. They won't stop a kitten escaping but it does slow them down a little to give you a chance to grab them! LOL!

That's a great price!

It's a good model for the point after their initial quarantine period where you want them to be able to see th other cats but not interact directly...

I can see already why everyone is so in love with Savannahs! :in love: Triton was all over me this morning. He was full of headbutts and hisses, doing figure 8s between my feet. Lots of loud purring. He wasn't interested in playing fetch with me (he did last night with CC), but he would pounce after his toys. I'm not exactly sure what all the hissing is about. His ears are never back, and he follows it up with a rub, and allows me to pet him. Are some hisses a type of greeting? So much to learn and enjoy from this beautiful breed!

When I was about to leave the quarantine room, he ran after me, wrapping his paws around my ankle, and gave a little growl. I was beginning to wonder if he was going to let me leave the room. Guess there's no sneaking out the door on SVs! "giggle:

Mrs CC I've got a hisser too. Maybe ask Arden if either of his parents have the habit. Maliik's mom uses hissing as communication and my boy inherited the trait. When I talk to him, he hisses back and we have very informative discussions about the state of the world. It took me a bit to get used to it even though I got a heads up from the breeder. His communication hisses are soft and the rest of his body language is relaxed. When he's impatient or disgusted with me for any reason, his hisses and body language are definitely different so I can tell the difference between the "luv me" hisses and the "you are an annoying human" hisses.

I take it that this is where the term, "Hissy fit" originated from! :roflmao:

No doubt, but I'm the one usually having the hissy fit when I daily pick up the carnage left by their play sessions. If I knew then what I know now, I would have cement furniture. Of the 2800 sq feet in our house, 15 ft is devoted to human comfort and the rest is for the cats. Oh, and that doesn't count the 20 x 10 patio we screened in last year for them. 3 SVs, what was I thinking:eek:
