Got any more pictures? The shape of the face, the spots, and possibly the ears appear suggestive.
A couple of years ago while on a short trip to see my mom, one of my neighbors thought one of my savannahs got out. Cat came right up to them so they put it in the garage. When I got home I noticed one too many spotted cats. Hmmmm, how did this happen? Really nice friendly cat. Took her to the vet. And what do you know, chipped! Turns out the cat wandered off two weeks earlier from four miles away. It crossed I-80 (very busy superhighway, main east west road through the United States)!!!! It was an Egyptian Mau. The 8 year old boy was over joyed to get his cat back!
George, are spotted cats common in your area?

There are a few spotted ones, not many. I have a feral in my backyard we call him Alanι, he has spotting mixed with some white , First 6 are "alani". they look alike but when i tried to put her close to him she "hissed" at him !

Thanks George! That's a very nice looking cat (Alani)! The head pattern in the .56 photo is a very close match to Rascal (see avatar).
You might see some interesting kittens from the young momma. Really nice of you to help that cat out.
Only spotted cats around here are Bengals, Maus, and Savannahs. And all of those are house cats, and rare houses at that. Other than the one my neighbors found, I have never seen a spotted cat in the open.

I know spotted feral cats are quite common in Greece on the islands....when my daughter was married on one (Chios...her husband is Greek and his family lives there) we saw many cats; lots of spotted ones as well as fabulous marble tabbies. Those island feral cats are huge and gorgeous! The people and tourists of Chios feed and care for them (and stray dogs) hanging about at the local businesses. I so wish I had had a digital camera when we went; I only got a few still pics of the cats and some dogs in doorways....

Thats so true Pam, we have many of those on the Islands. Even here in Cyprus. Many cats in general, ferals ... stray dogs not so many - The weather is great also. A cattery here would be great ..
