It's delightful to read about their quick transition to their furever home. They'll will adapt to your sleeping schedule once the newness of everything settles down. As far as the toe and head pouncing, we can only hope that diminishes in time. Atticus still wakes me at 5 a.m. daily with a toe pounce, which, coming from an almost 23 lb animal, causes a bit of pain as well.
It's good that the little boy has an older companion. Eight weeks is too young to be taken from mom and littermates, imo, so you should be extra diligent about unanticipated shocks/trauma to his psychological and emotional growth these next 2-3 weeks.
