Bi Lateral Heart Murmur... :(

Anyone have any info about Trupanion raising their rates quite a bit after being with them for a year? I've been reading a lot of complaints within the last couple months of customers monthly rates going up around 60% after their first year or so.

Nope - no problem here...what happened is they had not raised their rates at all in over 3 years so just raised them about a year ago...but that was for everyone...

Ah, ok. So the rates I see are already after they raised them? Let's hope they aren't keeping their old rates to start off as a bait and switch. With a $500 deductible it's going to be around $17/month. Does that sound right?

Wow Paul! What a emotional roller coaster you have been on! So glad that Dawn is working with you. She really is a very nice lady, and a stand-up breeder. I am so happy for you that he is coming home today. Keep us posted on his progress.

Well, a new update has come up. The breeder left me 3 voicemails this morning saying about how bad she felt yesterday. So, she offered to ship him out this morning. Once he gets here, I will take him to the vet and if our vet also here's the murmur she is going to refund us the 1600 so we will only be paying for shipping. My wife and I could not stand him not living a life (even if it ends up being shorter, hope not) not in a loving family where he could really enjoy things. So I decided we would do that. He is being shipped out this morning. :)

Paul, that is wonderful! Obviously he stole your hearts, and that's the advice I tell others when they are searching for a kitten :) My very best wishes to you all!

He really did! I'm not quite sure what it was, but my emotional attachment to him was much stronger than any other I has wanted. :) Thanks Pam
