It is VERY difficult to send them off...Dorado and Diablo are going together! That is a first for me and I am thrilled...Siri is going to stay here and Carbonite will go to a wonderful home, I'm sure...the one thing I just keep telling myself is that they will have wonderful homes with individual attention...
That is great.. I wish the best to you and all of them... BTW, do you keep up with where they are going and how they are doing... I know my breeder keeps up with Elsa via her website.

John, yes i do...I know where they all are and how they are all doing...for instance, Ixas and cinny are two years old today...I contacted the owners of all five of their siblings :)

Jim they are nine weeks old now! Zuri is about 9 pounds and the kittens are about 2.5 pounds each...they are big babies...still nursing...
Wow. I think that Rafiki's mum had cut her off by that point. When she stopped nursing the kittens, she wasn't very interested in them and Rafiki had a Chausie surrogate mum to tend to her. I cannot really blame Baby Jazz (Rafiki's birth mum)......when Rafiki kneads bread on me, she seriously digs the claws in and goes to town. It is many things but pleasant is pretty far down the list!

A furry belly (or trimmed nails) makes a world of difference when being kneaded by a kitten ;)
I don't have a furry belly. LOL. But i do trim her nails every 2 weeks and that helps for sure! Do breeders trim kitten claws when they are nursing?

I usually don't trim kitten claws unless I see them getting snagged in the bedding (some kittens are born with really long claws), otherwise I wait until they are a couple of weeks old.
