That is really awesome news! Sounds like she is on the mend and gaining weight is such a great thing for her..I will send her some of Ixas' excess just for safe measure

It is bloody hot out here in Southern Calif. We decided to make a large chicken cesar salad for dinner. The cats had been fed so we grabbed a bottle of wine to have dinner in the catio. Rafiki was very very interested. So I grabbed a piece of the chicken and gave it to her. Snub. She kept sniffing at the salad bowl. Silly human. Baby girl wants parmesan cheese not chicken!

It warms my heart to hear of the continued recovery of Rafiki. Thinking some fettuccini aux crevettes may be more to her taste.!!!! Need to whine and dine her after all she has been through.!!!

Just got back from the vet. All went smoothly but she lost 3 oz since last week so she is down to 13 lbs 2 oz.
It is blazing hot out here and Jammu is also not very interested in food the last 3 or 4 days.

3 oz is not terribly much if appetites are off due to the heat - keeping fingers crossed here!

Last night she ate 3 oz of chicken. This morning she has only eaten 1.2 oz of fish. She needs a minimum of 6 oz per day to maintain her weight.

Linda. ALL of mine are down a bit in weight. It is the hot weather I betcha. Regie was up to 12 lbs 8 oz but over the last week or so is down to 12 lbs even last night. Their weight varies a couple of oz per day. ALWAYS.

I hope that that is all it is. Whenever there is the slightest change for the worst, I immediately go to the worst conclusions. Is it the heat or are we in for another acute episode.....? And she is now off the prednisone so there is yet another variable in the mix.

If she is off prednisone, that could also account for her weight change...
