Simba is a unique sized and socialized Serval - he is completly "hunt-dog-trained" and very muscular - is often with its best friend a trained cheetah on an airfield for rabbit hunting - (2 times a month - 5€ per rabbit for airfield safety) so he is well in form and brings between 25-30 kg on weight together - all trained not fat. He measuers at the shoulder 65cm - so called the upper end of the average.
As i was visitng the owner with Nabila and and my Girlfriend - we got some very interesting facts about Serval mate behavior - in his 8 years owning Simba he figuered out that every male Serval have its mating times whe he is willing to pair - in the domestic cat world for males is this bahavior completely vanished.
So for Europe and its temperatures it is between March and May when his Serval Simba only is willing to mate.
He told me also that when a male Serval planned for Savannah pairing ever mate with an Serval female - the male Serval will never touch a Savannah or domestic cat again - it is over then.
Sure F1 breed is really special and hard to accomplish - so we will see if Nabila and Simba come together - it would be great if - if not it is a try - Nabila should be in heat the next weekend - she starts to change her behavior ... and the indicator my three girls will be in heat one after another
so when Hetty starts - the other two (Nabila & Lina) wait not that long too ...

Today after homecoming from work - as predicted Lina & Nabila are in heat - so that weekend Nabila will make a couple of days all inclusive holiday by her Serval male Simba ...
She is still with me ... But i feel as i miss her yet ...
5-7 days without my savannah girl ... I will miss her so much ... I would like to jump in time forward ...
Hopefully the time without her will pass by fast !!!

Today after homecoming from work - as predicted Lina & Nabila are in heat - so that weekend Nabila will make a couple of days all inclusive holiday by her Serval male Simba ...
She is still with me ... But i feel as i miss her yet ...

the owner of Simba is in some kind of time trouble (uderstandable) - so we delayed the mating between Nabila & Simba for the next time period of heat. But for me it is a bit of - arranging everything ne - my future plans have to be dalayed as well - so its kind of ... lil'more stress

Update : Hetty had her heat last week - Lina is heating around since 4 days - and Nabila starts up going into (acting crazy) - so all is prepared that when she starts calling - the holiday week by Simba will begin hopefully this weekend ... fingers crossed full moon time is also arriving - so thumbs up ...

So ... folks ... full moon has passed - Nabila shows a lot of abnormal characteristics - very cuddly - sometimes dominant against the other girls - sometimes lovlely ... rushing through the living room - "playing flying cat" chasing the others ... all looks like going into heat ...
... but the heat is not breaking loose, she is not calling yet ... I'm sitting on hot coals - hopefully her timing will be working out to visit Simba ... i hope so much that everything takes place as planned ... i would be very sad if there is some more delay ... my gilrfriend is frustrated by all means - in a way i'm able to understand her ... but you can't plan the nature ... its happening when it happens ...

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the heat is not breaking loose' - different cats behave differently when in heat. I have a couple of girls that have silent heats and the only clue they give is that they will crouch down when scratched on their lower backs above the tail. I would try this with your girl - if she doesn't crouch down then she is probably just displaying expected behavior that develops as a female matures.
