She had her well check this morning, a whopping 3# 3.5 oz.

She is a mighty little sprout! LOL. Sounds as though she's right were she should be. Enjoy every minute of her kittenhood. It goes by way too fast. And you will be astounded at how much she grows in the next 30 days.

Thanks Witchy! We experienced the true amount of energy a savannah has. I have never seen a cat play that hard and fast before!!

Also.. How do I deal with her nipping at us? I do tell her no firmly and then give her a toy or put her on the ground but it doesn't seem to help.

You have to keep on doing what you're doing. When she is particularly persistent (obnoxious:big grin:) leave her alone in her room or otherwise stop play. It will take awhile before she learns what is acceptable and she is looking to you to set the limits.

Vickie, I have successfully dealt with Kilifi by saying "OW" real loud telling her "Don't do that" and leaving her alone for 15 or 20 min. Oh and ignoring her cries.

Rafiki used to get really nippy around 11 pm when she was a kitten. We did the whole "ouch" thing but also redirected her to a batter toy. The batter-bunny from Drs. Fosters and Smith was a life (and toe) saver!

I'll look into that Rafiki! So I noticed she won't eat the wet food the breeder said she ate (Wellness Core) but she will eat cooked shredded chicken. I thought about just giving her this but am afraid she isn't getting the nutrients she needs. I put dry food out (Royal Canin) but she won't eat that either.
