Can a dsh be great pals with a Savannah?

Intros are complete and I couldn't have asked for it to go much better then it did. Our resident diva Bailey, our female Bengal, was the only one who took more then a few days to stop hissing when he walked by her. But I think we really picked a winner with this little guy. Nothing has phased this little boy. First time out of his quarantine room he acted like he owned the entire house. Running all over checking things out. Took him less then 30 minutes and he was jumping on the tables, counters, and even the top of the cabinets following his new siblings around.

What is comical about this little guy, he is proof most of the things we think are characteristics of SV's or Bengals can also be seen in your run of the mill mixed kitties. I was reading the "you know you have a SV cat" thread and was thinking wow our little mixed kitty does all that stuff too. So much so I tried looking over his coat looking for spots. But he is definitely a blast to have in our home. With just as much energy as Triton which I really didn't think could happen without getting another SV. Only thing we have to watch out for when Triton and this little guy play is when Triton is getting a bit too rough since he is much bigger then him. But we know the little guy is fine when he gets right back up and goes after Triton again.

We think we might have come up with a good name for him. I'll admit I first seen the name on a new show I started watching. The Witches of East End. But since he also dashes around the house so much and specially when a interior door opens to a room he's not supposed to be in, we thought of Dashing(Dash for short). Plus he has just a dash of white on his chest. And since our other 3 cats are registered and have official names we thought it was just fair to give him one too. So was thinking Sir Dashing of ______. Just haven't figured out the of what part.

So to answer the threads question, yes a dsh can be great pals with an SV.

The difference is... give it time. The DSH's tend to slow down and stabilize when they become full grown. Bengals and SV's keep the throttle up into adulthood. SV's have this annoying persistence that I have not seen in DSH's.

I'll have to wait and see. Our oldest Bengal is just a little over 2 years old so figure she is just now becoming an adult. The other Bengal is just a month behind her and the SV is just over a year. So plenty of time to wait and see. Though I have seen much decline in activity from all three older cats. Having the kitten around makes them all look like old people sometimes.

I read the Witches of East End part and I was like "Killian!??...oh nope I guess Dash would make more sense" He sounds like a lot of fun...I'm in major Savannah envy seeing all these new kittens around. I want another soooooooo bad!! But.......I still live at home. Maybe next year
