I forgot to reply to your question about what flea prevention.... Sorry! I was using Advantage 2, but now they are out in the yard I have been using Bravecto, as I also want to prevent ticks. If your cats don’t have fleas, and don’t need chemicals, that is great, but mine get them just out in the enclosures, and IMO the chemicals are probably better than a flea infestation. Unfortunately, I have not found stuff like diatomaceous earth helps....

Moggiesnewmom ~ if your cats ever complain they need to be given a slap! I need to see if there are any "frozen mice" at my pet store. Freak my friends out when they go into my freezer!

I agree with you on the no fleas by using chems vs flea problem. Cats can get tapeworms from fleas and I now wonder if Ditto can get something from the assorted insects she catches and eats. I see a stool collection in my future.
