Rufio usually always joins me in the shower. Tink occasionally, Spot hangs out on the towel rack, demanding head butts!!!

Drat several urine spots found over the weekend at least 1 fresh(wet). Back to the drawing board. Maybe time to try prescription meds.

Bummer. You might want to consider running a testosterone level on him, just to confirm everything was taken out during the neuter. Sometimes a little piece of testicle can get left behind which is enough to continue producing those hormones and causing those behaviors.

Update on Loki and the peeing. Apparently he stopped marking some time ago. I happened to be getting coffee early in the morning a couple weeks ago and the morning light was coming in though the back windows. I watched as my 9 year old tabby walked up to a footstool gave it a quick sniff and turned and appeared to walk away but I saw a steady stream come out the back and onto the footstool. If it hadn't been backlit I would have missed it. I let out a holler that scared her to death. We have been keeping her locked in the bedroom until she uses her litter box and we have had no more markings for several weeks. I feel so bad for blaming the kitten.

He was marking for awhile before and after the neuter but probably stopped a month or more ago. Now the only issue is his chasing her and being too rough.

I'm glad you were able to sort out who was doing the spraying, I hope now that you know who the culprit is, you will be able to correct the behavior without too much difficulty.

If he is chasing her, that could be why she is spraying. Or if he sprayed on that stool, she may be peeing there. You need to use a good enzyme cleaner like anti ickypoo to completely eradicate the smell!

Well keeping them in their own rooms until they each use the box works to keep them honest but I think the older cat is threatened by the kitten now that he is slightly larger than her. I think she is peeing because she hates/fears the kitten. we have put a good dent in his chasing behavior but he's pretty quick and still stalks and chases her like prey if we blink. I wish she would stop and give him a smack like she did when he was small but she seems to be afraid of him now. if she runs he will chase and swat at her.

Yes I think the chasing made her start peeing. We have it stopped for now and have been using the ickypoo for months. I'm hoping Loki out grows the stalking and over aggression. Almost wish they made a kitty taser. Squirt guns are ineffectual when they are running. I do wonder if a noise maker might shock him into stopping.

It is best not to do any of that... Try and distract him when he is chasing her. Grab a wand toy or something like it to take his attention away from her. I have a kitten here... Born here and she uses the tales of my other cats as toys. Her mother doesn't mind, but the others do... So I just grab the wand toy and distract her so she doesn't get smacked

Multiple feline fur friends, always pose possible problems! Jealousies can occur, along with discharges. Throw on an accidenttal. here and there, Klingon, furball, kiblble recycling...., Heck, they're cats!! Chit & pizz happens, and then some!!
