It is best not to do any of that... Try and distract him when he is chasing her. Grab a wand toy or something like it to take his attention away from her. I have a kitten here... Born here and she uses the tales of my other cats as toys. Her mother doesn't mind, but the others do... So I just grab the wand toy and distract her so she doesn't get smacked

Does a 6' bamboo cane with a plastic coated steel fishing leader and a feather toy count as distraction? We had to make him a savannah proof cat teaser wand. He could snap the strongest cord with a single bite so someone suggested the shark leaders and they work great. supposed to be strong enough to take a bite from a 50# shark yet they are thin enough to still be a good cat toy. I've been buying the feather toys from an online supplier in 8 packs. they claim the feathers are edible if the cat runs off with pieces.
I have an unlimited supply of bamboo canes as I grow it here in Ohio to shade the deck. We have been wanding him until he gets tired but he doesn't stay tired long. he is ridiculously strong for an 11# cat. I thought he'd be bigger but his growth spurt seemed to have ended when he was 6.5 months. He's a lil over 8 months and seems to be stuck between 10.5 and 11#s seems to vary day by day.
