Keljin hasn't been seen by any vet yet, but he is seeming better today. My phone died so my alarm didn't go off to get me up before work and when I called to make an appointment, my regular vet apparently has moved to Connecticut.. and they have no other appointments open either today or tomorrow. yay..

So I am debating looking up a new vet altogether, or paying the higher emergency fee to be seen.. I have my lunch from work in a few hours, and my boyfriend is home keeping a close eye on Keljin in the meantime if he notices any change in symptoms.

Last night as I was saying he refused to let me pick him up, and wouldnt purr or cuddle. He ended up sleeping with me all last night, and he was purring and trying to play this morning. He seems more active and to be in less pain, I saw him twitch 2x this morning but that is signifigantly less than last night. But - if after reading more here I don't want to allow an infection to get worse or suffer any further damage even if he is seeming better.. I will continue looking up my vet options in the meantime before I head out on lunch in a few hours.

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and words.

I'd get to the vet, hon- emergency vet or another regular vet. Why not just try another regular vet instead of an ER vet? That's what I'd do. Keljin is an F8- I wouldn't even bother telling the receptionist that he is a Savannah at this point. A good vet needs to look at his eye soon.

My advice is to get him to the ER vet immediately! If this is a corneal infection his eye could rupture at any moment. I had a very similar experience and the eye went from cloudy to extremely inflamed with scleral edema in a matter of 48 hours. I took her to the eye specialist and they recommended emergency surgery and corneal transplant. My girl has done great since then but if I had waited any longer... I shudder to think of the consequences...

I found a good vet to go to. My sister sits next to a coworker who's wife runs a can only clinic. They were booked today and tomorrow too, but after hearing me explain they were able to make room for me. I have an appointment and will bring him there shortly on my lunch. My boyfriend at home says Keljin is being normal for the most part, still squinting but hes being more active (not hiding or anything)
