Love this Christmas tree topper, how long did it last for??

This pic was from last Xmas....tree never fell from the climbing. She is doing the same thing this year. All ornaments are secured with wire, so nothing has fallen yet. Also seems to help if we leave tree undecorated for a few days so she can get the climbing out of her system. Another thing that has helped is having two artificial trees. The tree in the pic is a taller, pre-lit one and that is where all of my better ornaments are hung. Our second tree was given to us by my parents when they got a new one, and it is in our family room where we spend most of our time. I am glad that we decided to take it. We permit our children to decorate it any way they want and we also permit the cats to climb it and do what ever they want on it. This other tree has noting but soft ornaments and paper ornaments that my children make each year. LOL- we call this tree "the kids and cats tree" because that is exactly what it is! Same concept also helped to protect my better "Hallmark Motion Ornaments" on the larger tree from being damaged by my children.....the kids had their own tree to decorate (which was a big deal to them) and they were less interested in the other tree. Another cool thing is that I now have lots and lots of knitted/stuffed ornaments in the shape of various animals or Xmas themed characters for the "kids and cat's tree". One of my Aunts was good at knitting and she made lots of these for her tree. When she passed away, all of her old ornaments were given to us....so perfect for that second tree and lots of special meaning as well. We also add in a few small stuffed animals to this tree.....we just stuff them in the branches. Purpose of this is to appease our other SV, Lilah, who likes to carry them around and play fetch with them. LOL- I have a bit of a "don't try to beat them, but join them" attitude re trees. Instead of saying "no" to my children and cats re a tree....which I believe would cause them to be more determined to do what they wanted, I gave them their own tree and full reign to have fun with it! Might seem silly- but I think it works well!
