I am now getting no response at all from the 'breeder'. I have sent a written request for a refund. Will wait 7days and then file with the small claims court. Very sad :-(
I am very sorry to hear that, but I hope you are able to find justice in the small claims court.

Wow bad situation, I don't take deposits till kittens are a few weeks old. Before hand I'll
Take a waiting list, but usually those people fall off list as they either went elsewhere and didn't want to wait.

Oh,sad... I think it is getting pretty sour, Flyswater.
Although I would have never gone for that breeder, reading their adverts, website, and their prices I dislike them already !:offended:
But to try to help ,perhaps, you could report their advert to Pets4Homes.co.uk ,scroll down and report advert.
Some people might have done it already!

Hi , yes I will do thanks. Will keep you updated :) does anyone know of Gayzette Bengals? They are only 15 mins from me and have just given birth to a litter of F2 babies. Opinions appreciated before I potentially mess up again. Although she did tell me that she doesn't take deposits on unborn litters and welcomes people to come and see their cats and facilities. She says that her higher gens are super friendly and she prides herself of their natures/personalities.

I don't know them personally, but many breeders have Early Generations from them, as part of their programmes, so I think that is a good indication :)

Hello Flyswatter ! So you are going from F3 to F2...
With new breeder in mind , close to you .
That is great, you can visit, make friendship ,and get lots of advice and support from them.
Why did your circumstances changed in the first place, apart from the problem with the breeder?
If F3 or F2 ,be prepared to get a sporty ,spotty cat who will need you for play time, space ,
care and cuddles:paw:
Are you ready?:uh oh:

hi frances - the reason i needed a refund from the breeder was because she happened to be having the litter (so i was told) in the exact window that was suitable for us and fitted in with our holiday to USA. The last i would have done was get a new cat then get someone else to look after him for 2 crucial weeks in the bonding process. yes , we are turning my husbands old office into a playroom for the cats with scratch carpets, wall stairs & platforms, window viewing areas and loads of toys and stimulation :)
Anyway, the letter i sent today informing her of court action was today 'returned to sender' - presumably she is refusing to sign for any mail. So, straight to the court process.

I think it sounds promising that the breeder will welcome you to visit and see the cats... after what you have been through I think that will greatly help you feel right about this purchase!
