Dino at the ER

Once again find myself at the ER, this time with Dino.

The boys busted into a closet where Trish keeps her craft and art supplies. It's also where she keeps her waste basket so the cats won't get to it. Anyway, with great determination they moved the large storage chest and gained entry.

Once inside they managed to shred a bunch of stuff and apparently Dino ate a 9" piece of mesh ribbon. He had thrown up his food mid day and later that afternoon threw up the ribbon.

Thinking he would feel better in the morning didn't work out and we are now at the ER. He hasn't ate food that he's held since about 36 hours ago. He also vomited some rust colored bile which should be a clue to what else he could have ate, but I'm at a loss for what it may have been.

Oh no... I can feel your stress and concern. So hard when we try our very best to keep these things out of their reach, yet they foil us :-(

Are they doing a barium series now to see what they can visualize?

Waiting on the Doctor right now, they see a blockage but they haven't let me know if it's going to get scoped or require surgery.

They had previously figured out the foot pedal trash can being a 2 man job, of course they can open doors, and now they can move a 35 or 40 lb chest.

OK, and just got word from the doctor that it sounds like surgery as some of what ever he ingested has made it's way through the intestines. :(

Prayers that surgery is successful and Dino recovers easily.

Sigh, moving a 35-40lb chest? Any possibility of putting a lock or child lock on the closet now?

Ok, after our IM doctor and the surgeon conferred, they have decided to see where Dino is in 24 hours. He got a load of subq fluids, will be given some meds and the hope is he just might pass whatever it is that's blocking him up.
