Dino at the ER

I'm at the ER again as Dino only ate a couple teaspoons prompted by meds last night, and then a couple 1/2 inch cubes of Cucumber This morning.

He seemed to be a little dehydrated although grooming and modestly interested in play. After a very short time he will lay down and seem to be in some discomfort.

Unfortunately, there are lots of pets with critical care needs at the hospital today and we haven't seen a doctor yet. Going on 3 hours and wish the other people were more understanding. Critical care patients come first, it's not Burger King and first in isn't first out. More than happy to wait, as are most here.

Anyway, the path for Dino is pretty clear. X-ray, if stuff moved we go home, if it didn't then its likely surgery.

Thanks much for the cheerleaders, go Dino, go Dino, go Dino!

Thanks for the update even if not much has changed. And bless you for being understanding with the vet hospital, I am sure they appreciate you! Hoping they find the time for the xray soon though...

X-Rays done and unfortunately things haven't moved much. They are scheduling the surgery and getting their plan together. The obstruction is too far back to just scope him, so they need to look under the hood of his white belly fur.

Dino is out of surgery and did well. Two more pieces of the mesh ribbon found as suspected. The somewhat humorous part was the surgeon said he found pieces of cucumber in his stomach, not knowing it was a treat food he enjoys.

More later, many thanks to all!
