Do black kitten noses stay black?

The puffy nose leather is difficult to get on the later generations usually and a wide nose bridge is also a trait our standard calls for...so here is Cinny, an F5 SBT - she has wonderful puffy nose leather...

Here is Ixas, Cinny's brother - wide nose bridge and puffy nose leather...

And then Orion - 5 months old - nice nose leather and wide nose bridge - something the judges always comment on..

It's no secret that I am a fan of the big puffy pink nose :) These are a few of my kittens produced here, both past and present. I find the pink nose is larger and more in line with what we want to see than the black nose at times. From left to right: F4C, F7A, F8B and F8B; F3B.

Pictures are just so much more meaningful than words. Thanks everyone for showing us newbies what the heck a "puffy nose" is supposed to look like!

I have absolutely fallen in LOVE with the black nose on an SV.. I'm pretty sure it's something I am going to have to have in my SV when I get him/her. That being said, do the noses stay black? I've seen some pictures of cats with black noses but I've also seen pics that say "look how his/her nose changed pink?". I really want one with a nose that will stay black.
You are more likely to keep a black nose as an adult in those Savannahs who are cooler colored rather than warm colored. What that means is their ground color is more gray and spots black, whereas the warm colored Savannahs have a more golden or yellow ground color with brown to black spots. I do have one girl here who I would not consider cool colored who has kept her black nose, but this is a first for me:

This is the more common coloring we see with black noses:

Dad is a melanistic and mom is silver looking, the pic is blurry but I think I see a black nose. The website says,
"Even though she appears almost silver, Arya is what we fondly call "Platinum" brown/black spotted".
Maybe it's just me, but I find it a bit odd that the breeder is making up colors for the kittens. To me platinum is silver - so is the kitten silver, or is it brown (black) spotted tabby?

I have the same obsession with the black noses, lol, and I finally got my black nosed kitten a week and a half ago! I'm pretty sure his nose will stay black since he's a smoke.... well I hope so anyways! Not sure if his is considered 'puffy' or not- what do you guys think? Here are some shots of him and that cute little nose... <3
He is gorgeous VioletFae! And yes, his nose leather is definitely poofy!
