Do you allow your SV into the bathroom?

All three of our SV boys are allowed in the bathrooms. Our boys can open doors that swing "in" so we really would have trouble keeping them out, not to mention that they cry incessantly at closed doors.

We have not had toilet paper issues at all, they leave the stuff alone. They do raid the bathroom cabinets at will, so we moved all cleaning supplies to the basement.

SVs are imaginative, so I have no doubt your little guy will find something to shred or break, but given your prior experience, I bet you will be just fine :)

Sasha owns our tiny apartment. If we restricted his access he would get obsessed about that place. But then we never had a problem with the toilet paper, he doesn't care about it. Kitchen rolls are an entirely different story - they bring out the pirate in him!!! They have to be stolen and attacked and destroyed !!!!

Seems pretty consistent. If you make a big deal of blocking an are off, they'll never give up and become obsessive. If we allow it and change small things as needed maybe things won't become a big hype to him

I am extremely fortunate that the only cabinet that Rafiki is interested in is the one that has their treats. She asks to see inside other drawers and cabinets at times but for the most part she ignores it once she sees inside. The major exception is the lingerie drawer as she has decided that all bras are evil and must be destroyed. That one must be kept shut so tight that a claw tip cannot be inserted or face the consequences.

It probably will depend on your kitten, some are interested and some just don't care. We have paper holders from IKEA that have a metal lid that comes down on top of the roll and this has deterred generations of our Savannahs...until Lila this past year. She discovered toilet paper in a show hotel and after unrolling that and shredding it came home looking. And so shredded the underside of the roll repeatedly. Until I figured out that placing the metal TP storage thingy in front of the holder meant the underside of the roll was no longer in her view and she left it alone. Shrug. So we are back to normal again... 14 years of SVs and she is the worst we've had!

I'm afraid I don't have anything to add to answer your question, but oh my goodness that Lynx! So beautiful. I'm immensely jealous you got to have that beautiful creature in your home! I live in Canada so I've seen one or two in the wild but only from far away. Amazing.
