I built a server room to avoid exactly this problem. And the server room is cat-proof (or at least Ragdoll proof so far) :D

as of yesterday, he can now open closed doors in the house .... jumps up, pulls down on the handle, then the door will open when he pushes on it ... can't wait till we have company over and he joins them while they are in the bathroom :)

Ah yes, this was one of the rights of passage I dreaded. I was ecstatic when mine quickly became bored with the door game but then they discovered they could open cupboards....

I don't have room to do that or it would have been done a long time ago :(
You'd be surprised, mine is under the stairs in a crawl space, you could do a high shelf in a closet ;) Unfortunately cats and computers are enemies :-/

Is there a thread for Cat-Proofing your home? I could post photos :D

I had 2 Begal brothers that were REALLY bad about howling. Sometimes it seemed like they did it just to make sure the other one was still in the house... My F5 male SV howls for human attention, but it's nothing like how the Bengals were. Actually, now that I'm thinking about, the 2 BGs we have now are pretty bad about it too... I don't know if this is a "faze" they'll grow out of. I doubt it. Sounds like you just have VERY vocal cats. I'd reccomend getting an older model, industrial size, AC window unit that sounds like a 747 taking off in your bedroom. It'll drown out a lot of the noise... ;)
