Dooley still challenged

Yeah, there is definitely an issue with the rubber toys when not even the hardest compound of the Kongs holds up. He won't chew on the nylon stuff, and definitely wants something that feels like he is making progress. Ballistic Nylon toys didn't last a week either.

Dooley does not eat whole prey as he is on a strict diet as a result of his liver disease. His diet continues to be 40% raw formulated by Dr Lisa Pierson and 60% Hills k/d with Chicken. I'm arm wrestling the IM doc to up the protein percentage of his diet so I can have a better alternative. Currently, he does get chicken thighs with bone ground as coarsely as possible without him picking and choosing what parts he wants to eat.

Perhaps, we'll see.

I was able to get Dooley to eat a small amount of food today. About an ounce at lunch and about an ounce and a half this evening. Trish says he looks better, but hes still going to be the n ICU until at least Friday.

More details to follow, just really tired.

Dooley's red blood count is down to 21% so they are going to do an ultrasound to see if he is bleeding from his surgery site or somewhere else in his GI tract. May need to give him a blood transfusion and awaiting a call from the Doctor.
